Casa Palmera is excited to offer an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for our local community. This program is designed to help patients receive accelerated treatment while still participating in their daily responsibilities such as work or school. Participants will be attending activities Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Activities will include individual therapy, group therapy, and and a family component..
Casa Palmera provides comprehensive outpatient services for those patients who are assessed as being able to participate successfully in regularly scheduled outpatient visits and who are not at medical risk. The vision of Casa Palmera’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): is to provide treatment that empowers patients to function more independently and responsibly, while preparing them for the community with the skills and abilities to lead successful lives.
PROGRAM TRACKS:
• Eating Disorders
• Chronic Pain Management
• Emotional Trauma/ Mood disorders
• Substance Abuse/Chemical Dependence
SERVICES PROVIDED:
• Biopsychosocial assessment
• Psychiatric assessment
• Group therapy -- life skills groups, behavior therapy groups, anxiety & depression groups, anger management groups, communication skills, 12 step groups, relaxation groups, etc.
• Access to latest information and education for continuing care.
• Multi-family process group.
• Multi-family group discussion and education to help the family understand their loved ones identified illness and recovery, while introducing the essential skills of healthy communication, family dynamics and support groups or 12-Step philosophy.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
• Evening IOP is 3 nights per week and runs approximately 3 hours per night (6 to 9:30 pm, see schedule)
• 6 -8 weeks in duration
STAFF:
• Licensed therapist for process groups
• Educational groups lead by specialists/experts in their field
• Licensed therapist for family work
• Massage and Bio/Neuro feedback with qualified certified provider
• Monthly physician (MD) visit
CORE MODALITIES FOR THE THREE HOURS OF IOP:
• Patient and family education groups
• Patient process group
• Family process group
• A curriculum design will drive the educational component covering different Educational group topics. On the process end, it is very effective to have patients doing assignments that they then share in group to receive peer support and feedback.
• Each patient will do the assignments during the course of treatment to narrow and focus what they learn. Additionally, the therapist can assign "custom assignments" as needed for patients that can also be processed with the group.
• Each patient will have a treatment plan and discharge plan.
ENTRY TO ENROLL IN OUR INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM:
• Patients may enter directly from the community
• Patients my enter as a “step down” from Casa residential treatment
• Patients may enter as a “step down” from another program

THREE NIGHTS/WEEK // MONDAY/WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY
IN ADDITION:
• All Programs:
1 physician visit per month
• Eating Disorder Program:
1 meal support per week
• Pain Program:
1 Massage per week
• Emotional Trauma/Depression/Mood Disorder:
1 Neuro/bio feedback weekly
• Substance Dependence
1 Neuro/bio feedback weekly
Treatment Options
